Undeniably a huge pull to the Safari Lodge is the estate’s tranquil surrounds and beautiful scenery. The vegetation structure is a mixture of different woodland and grassland depending on the soil texture and structure. Miombo, Mopane and Acacia woodlands dominate. Social life around the farm is of a typical Zimbabwean rural nature and through indigenous knowledge systems (IKS), people use indigenous trees in their day to day life activities in a number of ways. This includes medicine, for example the Marula tree barks are used to make a good remedy for treating an aching tooth. As a result these people treat the safari with a sense of stewardship and ownership, and this in turn helps to conserve the natural resources.
